Growing up together
from: Richard Taurima
Luana was like a sister to me, because we grow up together, one of the biggest memories I have is that we were always with our grandmother, we would help clean the chapel with nanny, she would do the dusting and take the rugs and mops for Nanny and I would vacuum clean, then nearly every Friday night we would stay with our grandparents and sleep at 59 Jillett street, me on one side of Nan and Luana on the other side, me and her had to ask our parents, we always got a yes, Luana was very much in tune with her cousins at an early age, that I know, she generally cared and was very helpful, I also remember when we were always in Nuhaka with our grandparents we were always doing stuff, sometimes it was just me and Luana there, and we did everything with our Nanny, our grandmother installed allot of values that we both carry, I know Luana always had a caring heart and gave good counsel to everyone, she was much a strong mother figure, 1 week before she passed away, she encouraged me to write about our experiences growing up and I started to put them in my family tree, memories, Thanks to my cousin Luana, I do miss her, I loved my cousin very much.
